The Legacy Pollution Exchange is a concept being developed to fund the treatment of legacy pollution.
Acid rock drainage (ARD) is a common example of legacy pollution. A major source of pollution, ARD is often associated with abandoned mine sites. The Legacy Pollution Exchange is a market-based approach which is designed to bring the treatment and remediation of ARD and other sources of legacy pollution back into the product cycle. We have developed the initial concepts about how this can be achieved. Now we are seeking the required members of an advisory board to launch the project.
